The food we eat is fundamentally important for our well being and the quality of our lives. Food brings together people who may be suffering from isolation and loneliness. Learning to cook and enjoying good food provides skills that can improve life opportunities. Understanding how to make good food choices allows individuals to take control in what may otherwise be chaotic lives.
The Fab! Action on Food and Wellbeing training programme supports people to understand how to make positive changes to their diet, and how this can help them manage their own mental and physical health in order to support behaviour change. It also enables individuals to make better use of training and rehabilitation opportunities through increased learning capacity, enhanced concentration and more stable mental health.
